Rudeen from Brauhaus Bevog is a Black IPA that embraces the apparent contradiction of its name. Deep mahogany in colour at 7.4% ABV, this Austrian craft beer marries stout, porter and IPA in a single bold statement. Fermentation yields a creamy mouthfeel, while tropical hop character—peach and stone fruit—plays against dark roasted malt, chocolate and caramel notes.

The result is simultaneously refreshing and bitter, with a resinous aroma that makes no apology for its intensity. Floral hop presence adds complexity to an assertively drinkable beer.
