Konig Ludwig Dunkel
König Ludwig Dunkel is a dark lager from Bavaria, brewed using traditional methods in copper kettles at Schlossbrauerei Kaltenberg. The beer is made with naturally soft limestone water and carefully selected ingredients from Southern Germany, adhering to the Reinheitsgebot purity tradition.
Dark barley malt gives the beer its distinctive colour and delivers notes of roasted grain, caramel, and subtle dark chocolate. At 5.1% ABV with a clean hop bitterness, it is a balanced and approachable Dunkel-style lager.
The brewery's heritage stretches back to 1260, with its current form established in 1871. This beer has earned a gold medal at the DLG competition and holds the distinction of Germany's leading dark lager.
