Haagsche Broeder

s Patmos

Haagsche Broeder is a monastery brewery located in The Hague's historic centre, run by the Brothers of Saint John. Patmos is an amber-coloured beer at 8.5% ABV, brewed with barley and rye and finished with American and German hops. This Imperial Red Ale takes its name from the Greek island of Patmos, where Saint John—the brothers' patron saint—sought refuge.

Patmos marries traditional brewing craft with a distinctly modern approach. The beer delivers a full body with caramel malt as its primary character, supported by hop bitterness. A beer that reflects the monastery's heritage through a contemporary lens.
