Haagsche Broeder Prior is a dark, full-bodied porter brewed by the Brothers of Saint John in their monastery in The Hague. At 8.5% ABV, this beer balances roasted malt character with a crisp, lightly hoppy finish. The palate is marked by full sweetness with distinct caramel notes, while the brewers themselves describe a balance between roasted and fresh, between bittersweet and tart.
