Karel On Steroids emerged from a fortunate brewing mistake at Kaapse Brouwers in Rotterdam in 2015. What was intended as a standard Karel became, through a brewer's error, a robust Double IPA at 8.5% ABV — and the beer proved so successful it has been brewed annually ever since.

The hop bitterness is finely integrated, layering with tropical fruit and floral notes. Citrus, grapefruit and pine give the aromas texture, while white pepper and a zesty lemon bitterness cut through the finish. Despite its strength, it remains approachable.

The aftertaste is long and creamy, making this craft Double IPA a full-bodied and complex experience.
