Jopen Zwarte Ziel is an Imperial Smoked Porter from Haarlem, aged in three different bourbon barrels: Jim Beam, Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve. This barrel-aged blend marries the character of each cask into a complex, dark experience.
Smoke from the brewing process forms the foundation, complemented by notes of caramel, raisins and marzipan from Wild Turkey, and full sweetness of vanilla and butterscotch from Woodford Reserve. Dark chocolate and coffee beans round out the profile.
At 10.5% ABV, this is a full-bodied, warming porter for those who appreciate dark, roasted beers.
