Berging Brouwerij, a microbrewery based in Purmerend, has crafted this Imperial Stout with care and ambition. The Sailing '20 is a barrel-aged expression at 12.2% ABV, matured in bourbon and beer casks that have shaped its character. The result is an ink-black beer with prominent aromas of espresso, liquorice, vanilla and wood, complemented by subtle notes of port wine and red fruit.

The palate is intense and layered, with the warmth of the alcohol well-woven into the structure. A contemplative beer for quieter evenings, enjoyed alone or shared with friends, and a natural companion to aged cheese or dark chocolate.
