Jopen Blame it on the Monks
Blame it on the Monks is a Brut IPA from Jopen Bier in Haarlem, brewed in collaboration with Monnik Beer from Louisville. The beer was created during a joint brewing event and takes its name from Joan Osborne's hit song 'One of Us?', which played during the brewers' meeting.
This Brut IPA is crafted from barley, wheat and oats, using a special yeast strain to achieve a distinctly dry character. Despite its bone-dry foundation, the hop additions introduce fruity notes, creating a refreshing and well-balanced brew. At 7.5% ABV, it carries sufficient body without feeling heavy.
The beer pairs well with light dishes such as fish and shellfish, where its crisp and fruity profile enhances the dining experience.
