Golden Groat is a golden ale from John O'Groats Brewery, crafted in Scotland's far north using pure Highland waters. This 4% beer blends Maris Otter pale ale malt with amber malt and torrified wheat, hopped with Challenger and Cascade.

When chilled, it presents a crisp, dry character with toasty grain and biscuit notes from the amber malt. The nose carries floral and citrus peel hints, while the palate develops oatcake and nutty flavours with a woody edge. The beer maintains an average body with fine, prickly carbonation that keeps it refreshing and snappy.
