Jever

Pilsener

Brewed since 1848 at Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever in northern Germany, Jever Pilsener is a pilsner with an edge. Assertively bitter, lean and dry, it does not soften for mainstream palates. Brewer Ernst Böhme refined the recipe in 1934 into what stands today: a beer that divides opinion but commands loyalty from those who embrace its character.

The bitterness comes from a two-stage hop addition of Hallertau and Tettnang varieties, delivering 40 IBU. Malts from the Netherlands, France and Germany form the base. The result is crisp and clean, with an aroma that leans grassy and herbal rather than sweet. A true thirst-quencher for those who want their pilsner uncompromising and honest.
