Jennings Cocker Hoop

Cocker Hoop is a golden bitter from Jennings Brewery, one of England's oldest breweries, established in 1828 in the Lake District. First released in 1995 as 'September Ale', this award-winning ale is brewed with water from the brewery's own well, Maris Otter pale malt, and a blend of wheat and oats.

Styrian Goldings and Challenger hop flowers are added at various stages to deliver a classic hop character and aroma. The beer pours golden with a creamy white head. Sweet orange and subtle citrus notes appear in the aroma, while the palate is crisp and fruity with a clean, balanced bitterness.

Light and refreshing with good body, Cocker Hoop captures the character of its Lake District home. The name derives from 'cock-a-hoop', an old expression of joy and exultation.
