Blood Red Sky from Innis & Gunn is a Scottish red ale matured in Caribbean rum casks, developing subtle notes of spiced rum, vanilla and dark fruit character. Brewed with I&G ale malt, roasted barley and chocolate malt, it builds a full body and warming malt backbone.

The aroma opens with treacle and molasses sweetness, followed by palate impressions of coffee and chocolate complexity. Super Styrian hops provide measured bitterness (30 IBU) without overwhelming the balance. At 6.8% ABV, the beer finishes with pleasant alcohol warmth and lingering sweetness.
