Blauwst'rig
IV:UUR Blauwst'rig is a Black IPA from the small-scale brewery of the same name in Overijssel, Netherlands. The name draws from local dialect, meaning windy and autumnal—fitting for a beer that shines during colder seasons.
This Black IPA merges dark roasted malt and pure chocolate with the fruity bitterness of carefully chosen hops. Coffee notes and a long, assertive hoppy finish round out the profile. At 7.5% alcohol, it carries enough body to support the layered flavours without overwhelming them.
Blauwst'rig claimed gold at the Dutch Beer Challenge 2022 in the Black IPA category, followed by silver medals at both the Brussels Beer Challenge 2023 and Dutch Beer Challenge 2024.
