Berghoeve Brouwerij in Den Ham crafts Zwarte Snorre as a Twents Imperial Stout – a dark and powerful beer with intense aromas. The base is brewed with oatmeal, which gives it a fuller and creamier character. This Ledaig cask version is matured in Islay whisky barrels, allowing smoke, peat and boozy warmth to mingle with hints of caramel and subtle pepper in the finish.

The Ledaig casks impart a distinct smoky signature and peat character, typical of Islay whisky. On the nose, smoke and peat emerge with a touch of liquorice. The whole closes with a dry, smoky finish that lingers.
