Wastatan? is a dark Strong Ale from Berghoeve Brouwerij, brewed on a former farm in Twente. The brewery deliberately positions this beer outside traditional categories: neither Scotch ale nor stout, but a smooth strong ale crafted with cacao nibs.

The palate is lightly sweet and malty, with notes of spiced cake, honey and caramel. Coffee and raisin add depth and character. The finish lingers pleasantly with a full body and stable head.
