Heineken H41
H41 is an experimental lager from Heineken Nederland, brewed with a rare wild yeast strain discovered in the untamed regions of Patagonia. This limited edition marks a departure from Heineken's conventional brewing, employing Saccharomyces eubayanus—a distinctive yeast that fundamentally reshapes the beer's character.
The nose reveals spicy and malty notes with light fruity undertones. On the palate, H41 is fuller-bodied than standard Heineken, displaying clove-like spice and yeast-driven complexity. The finish is soft and lingering, without the crisp bite typical of conventional lagers.
