Uut Eerder Tied is an ambitious barrel-aging project by Berghoeve Brouwerij in Den Ham: a single 2000-litre base recipe is matured in different casks, yielding a series of distinct variants. This red wine barrel expression is a full-bodied barleywine at 10% ABV, developing a port-like character through extended aging.

The nose shows dark fruit and caramel, shaped by red wine barrel influence. On the palate, a full and slightly sticky body unfolds with pronounced caramel, red fruit notes and warming alcohol. The finish is long and dry, trailing dark fruit and wood.
