Berghoeve Tsjuster
Berghoeve Brouwerij in Den Ham has brewed this commanding Imperial Black IPA since 2013. The Tsjuster is a heavy, robust beer whose darkness comes from roasted malt, yet avoids harshness thanks to American hop varieties used in dry-hopping. The aroma leads with chocolate and licorice, supported by espresso notes. On the palate, roasted malt, licorice and hop create a complex interplay with fruity hints of red berries and citrus. The mouthfeel is soft and full-bodied, with a finish that begins sweet before shifting to a dry, hoppy aftertaste.
At 10% ABV, this beer delivers warmth and presence. It showcases the craft brewing character of Twente: a statement beer for those who embrace bold, pronounced flavours.
