ESB
Fuller's ESB has been brewed since 1971 by London's last great independent brewery, defining the Extra Special Bitter style. Built on Optic pale malt with crystal malt and flaked maize, this amber ale achieves a full body with restrained sweetness and balanced complexity.
The aroma brings together sweet malt and traditional English hops—Challenger and Goldings among them—offering floral, citrus and subtle fruit notes. On the palate, malt sweetness is tempered by medium hop bitterness and a touch of doughy character. The finish turns dry with a lingering hop resin note, never harsh. A beer of genuine balance, it remains the benchmark for its style.
