Founders Dankwood
Dankwood is Founders Brewing Company's bourbon barrel-aged expression of their ReDANKulous red IPA. This Imperial Red Ale at 12.2% ABV combines the brewery's bold hop character with the warmth of barrel maturation.
The nose carries caramel, oak and resinous hop notes. The palate opens with toffee and caramel malt sweetness, followed by a dank, resinous bitterness mid-sip. Bourbon barrel aging adds complexity, whiskey warmth and vanilla undertones that linger into a dry, slightly boozy finish.
