KBS Espresso is Founders Brewing's bold reimagining of their celebrated Kentucky Breakfast Stout, amplified with a shot of espresso coffee character. This 12% ABV imperial stout is brewed with premium chocolate and coffee, then matured in bourbon barrels that contribute vanilla and cocoa notes.
The beer pours jet black with a rich, foamy tan head. Aromas of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and caramel blend with oak and bourbon undertones. The palate is fresh and snappy, with assertive espresso coffee driving the flavour, balanced by chocolate sweetness and a warming alcoholic finish.
