Fortuna Vlieland brews this Weizen on the Frisian island of Vlieland using pure dune water from its own spring. The Monnicke Weizen is a hazy, dark wheat beer with a fresh, fruity character and a subtle tartness. The beer incorporates a blend of fruits and spices, complemented by candy sugar and honey from local Vlieland bees.

The brewery started as Selkiebrouwerij and has always focused on small-batch, artisanal brewing. Fortuna Vlieland sources as many ingredients as possible from the island and operates its own energy source alongside the brewery.
