Erdinger Pikantus
Erdinger Pikantus is an ambitious Bavarian weizenbock from Erdinger Weissbräu, the world's largest wheat beer brewery. At 7.3% ABV, this dark bock delivers a fuller body and deeper character than Erdinger's standard wheat beers.
The nose reveals ripe banana, caramel and nutmeg with hints of lemon zest and liquorice. On the palate, dark chocolate and coffee emerge alongside plum and raisin notes, while the signature wheat beer spices—clove and white pepper chief among them—remain restrained and integrated. The overall impression is balanced and never cloying.
The finish is clean and dry, with a gentle warming from the alcohol. This is a serious, grown-up wheat beer that works equally well as an aperitif or alongside hearty food.
