Original Leipziger Gose
Bayerischer Bahnhof's Original Leipziger Gose is a traditional German sour wheat beer from Leipzig, brewed according to a recipe dating back to the 18th century. This top-fermented ale combines 60% wheat malt with barley, and is seasoned with lactic acid, coriander and salt added during the boil. The result is a refreshing, gently sour beer with a subtle saline finish.
The beer pours cloudy with a creamy head. The nose reveals grain and coriander with light citrus notes. On the palate, delicate stone fruit flavours emerge alongside a fine balance of tartness, salt and spice. The finish is clean and dry, making it an excellent thirst quencher.
