Saison Dupont
Saison Dupont is a farmhouse classic from Hainaut in Wallonia, brewed by Brasserie Dupont since the 1880s. This family-owned brewery remains one of Europe's last farm-breweries, crafting beer using methods unchanged for decades. The style originated as a winter brew, barrel-aged and served to seasonal workers during hot summer months to quench their thirst.
The beer presents a lively nose of citrus, grassy hops, and typical Belgian yeast phenolics—banana and clove—grounded by bready malt. On the palate, fruity and yeasty character emerges alongside expressive hop presence and a toasty malt backbone. The finish is dry and distinctly bitter, with no lingering sweetness. A crackling, vital beer that defines the Saison style worldwide.
