Finistera Imperial Porter
Finisterra takes its name from the Roman designation for Portugal—the end of the known world. Dois Corvos in Lisbon has brewed this Imperial Porter as a core release since 2015. The beer is nearly black with a creamy tan head.
The aroma reveals roasted malt, cocoa and nutty notes. On the palate, rich malty sweetness unfolds with dark bread character and subtle hop bitterness. East Kent Goldings hops provide refined restraint. The body is full and oily, finishing dry with a lingering aftertaste.
At 8.5% ABV, this is a strong, warming porter that maintains balance—clean roasted character and nutty depth without harsh bitterness. British ale yeast fermentation contributes to its drinkability despite its power.
