De Vergeten Appel, based in Biezenmortel, crafts cider from heritage Dutch apple varieties destined for waste. Madelief 2019 is one of five fruity expressions developed from a single base recipe of 2,000 litres, produced in partnership with Brouwerij Brouwersnös.
This 6.1% ABV cider delivers overripe yellow apple character with gentle natural sweetness. A light bitterness emerges in the finish, accompanied by a soft astringency that keeps the palate clean and refreshing.
