Schans Genenbos Ed Brukske
Ed Brukske is an artisanal tripel from De Schans Genenbos, a Limburg microbrewery inspired by the neighborhood's rich heritage. The beer takes its name from the Schans van Genenbos, a fortification built in 1598.
This tripel stands apart through better balance than many traditional examples. Four hop varieties—Target, Northern Brewer and others—deliver more hop bitterness and dryness than typical for the style. The cloudy appearance is accompanied by aromas of hops and spice, with spicy character present immediately on the palate.
The finish is distinctly bitter and hoppy with a dry aftertaste, giving this 8.5% ABV tripel a distinctive profile.
