TIEN is a Russian Imperial Stout at 10% ABV, brewed by De Naeckte Brouwers to mark the brewery's tenth anniversary in 2021. This pitch-black beer with a light brown head is the result of an ambitious barrel-aging project: part of the brew spent eight months resting in Kilchoman Islay casks, complemented by Hennessy VS Cognac and Panama Rum finishes.

The glass reveals notes of chocolate, coffee, hazelnut and raisin, with hints of smoky woodsmoke. The barrel aging adds depth without overwhelming the balance. This is a beer that wears its ambitions openly, yet never lets them dominate.
