De Dolle Brouwers has brewed Oerbier since 1980 at their brewery in Esen, Belgium. This Special Reserva is a complex Flanders Oud Bruin aged for 18 months in Bordeaux wine casks, developing rich red wine notes, cherry fruit, and subtle oak and vanilla character.

The beer blends dark roasted malts with Goldings hops and slow fermentation that builds deep, fruity complexity. At 13% ABV, it carries warming alcohol with a dry finish, accented by toffee, cocoa, and spice.

This 2017 vintage is a mature, sophisticated expression that balances the style's characteristic tartness with the depth gained from barrel aging.
