Bakkie Doen is a Dubbel from Baxbier, the Groningen brewery founded in 2014 by two friends. This is a soft, sweet beer with clear notes of caramel, raisin and toffee. Freshly roasted coffee beans add subtle coffee character that balances nicely with the malt backbone.

With 8.5% ABV, this beer offers a full body and surprising drinkability. Dark chocolate and nutty notes round out the flavour profile, while a light bitterness provides structure and prevents cloying sweetness. A complex Dubbel that works equally well at cellar temperature or slightly warmed.
