Battery Steele Flume
Battery Steele Flume is the flagship Imperial IPA from Battery Steele Brewing in South Portland, Maine, founded in 2015. Brewed with English malts, wheat and oats, then double dry-hopped with Citra and Mosaic lupulin powder, Flume delivers tropical fruit and citrus on the nose with subtle pine undertones. The palate shows mango and candied orange notes balanced by a crisp, lightly bitter finish.
Despite its 8% ABV, the medium body and creamy mouthfeel make it surprisingly easy-drinking for a DIPA. The even carbonation adds to its approachable character.
