L'Ensemble di Montalcino by De Dochter van de Korenaar was born from an elegant encounter. During a beer festival near Montalcino in Italy, the brewers met a charming couple who fell for their beer. This inspired an ambitious collaboration: the barley wine was aged in Brunello di Montalcino casks, developing rich wine and fruit-forward characteristics.

At 13% ABV, this is a full-bodied, complex barley wine. Barley, wheat and rye malts provide a sturdy foundation, while the Brunello casks impart sweet, fruity and vinous notes. The result is sticky and sweet with a pleasant tannic frame and lingering finish.
