Corsendonk Tempelier
Corsendonk Tempelier is a 6% ABV amber ale from Brouwerij Corsendonk in Turnhout, Belgium, brewed by a monastery with roots reaching back to 1398. The Priory of Corsendonk housed an important brewery and malt house from its foundation, where monks brewed as a contemplative practice until Emperor Joseph II dissolved the priory in 1784.
Tempelier delivers a balanced profile of ripe orchard fruit, subtle citrus, and gentle spice, supported by a smooth malt backbone. The beer continues to mature and naturally carbonate in the bottle. Flavours are restrained yet meaningful, with a dry, well-balanced finish that avoids harshness.
