Goud
Chimay Goud is a light blonde Trappist beer from Scourmont Abbey in Belgium, brewed since 1862 following a recipe over 150 years old. At just 4.8% ABV, it is an approachable and highly drinkable beer that stands confidently alongside Chimay's stronger expressions.
The nose is delicate, revealing honey and citrus with subtle spice notes. On the palate, a balanced malt foundation meets elegant floral nuances, finishing dry and bitter. The beer is crafted from water, barley malt, wheat starch, hop bitters and Chimay's distinctive house yeast culture.
Despite its modest alcohol content, Goud displays the refined character expected of Trappist brewing. It is a beer for everyday enjoyment without compromise on flavour or craft.
