Chimay Blauw Grand Reserve Oak Aged is an ambitious take on the classic Grande Réserve, brewed by the monks of Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey in Belgium. This strong ale spent five months maturing in American and French oak barrels, adding subtle wood character to the complex base recipe.

The aroma reveals dark fruit, spice and light toasty notes. On the palate, a full, layered experience unfolds with dark fruit, caramel sweetness and refined oak. Despite its high alcohol content, this ale drinks surprisingly smoothly, finishing with a warming, lingering aftertaste.
