Vandenbroek Watergeus
Watergeus from Brouwerij Vandenbroek is a spontaneously fermented blended beer aged for at least two years in oak barrels. The brewing follows Brussels tradition: the wort is heated in copper kettles over wood fire. The recipe combines barley malt, ground wheat and aged hops into a complex whole.
The beer pours clear orange with a refreshing, gently sour character. Apple notes emerge in the aroma and palate, complemented by citrus, oak and earthy cellar tones. Spontaneous fermentation lends natural carbonation and a refined balance between acidity and fruit.
