German IPA
BRLO German IPA is a distinctive take on the classic India Pale Ale, brewed entirely from German ingredients. Founded in 2014 by three Berlin-based friends—Katharina Kurz, Christian Laase and brewmaster Michael Lembke—BRLO crafted this beer using three German hop varieties from Hallertau: Comet, Hüll Melon and Polaris, paired with malt from Franconia and Berlin water.
The beer is defined by aggressive dry-hopping that brings forward mango and orange notes. Beneath these fruity aromatics lie warm caramel and toffee undertones from the malt, creating a pleasant interplay of bitterness and sweetness. The finish is firm and bitter, a hallmark of well-executed IPA brewing.
