TX IPA Island Pale Ale
TX Island Pale Ale is a traditional American-style IPA brewed on the Dutch island of Texel by Brouwerij TX. The brewery emerged from a partnership between Stokerij Texel and brewmaster Nico Derks, a veteran of several breweries.
The recipe blends four malts—Pale Ale, Vienna, Cara Clair and rye—with a three-stage hopping schedule using Chinook and Citra, the latter also added at flame-out. The result is a crisp, bitter beer with pronounced citrus character, rounded out by subtle hints of mango and melon.
At 6.2% ABV, this IPA strikes a balance between hop-forward intensity and approachable fruitiness, making it versatile across occasions.
