St.-Feuillien Bruin / Brune
St.-Feuillien Brune is a traditional abbey ale from Le Roeulx, Belgium, brewed by Brasserie St. Feuillien using time-honoured methods. This complex Dubbel at 8.5% alcohol is bottle-conditioned and presents a distinctive ruby-brown colour with a generous, lasting head.
Fermentation brings considerable fruitiness to the fore, blending harmoniously with dominant liquorice and caramel notes. The malty foundation carries hints of nuts and subtle spice for added complexity. The body is decidedly full and warming, with bitterness arising from careful interplay between fine hops and selected malts.
Deceptively easy to drink despite its strength, with a finish that combines bitter and warming sensations.
