De Kolonist is a soft, fruity wheat beer from Brouwerij Maallust in Veenhuizen, Drenthe. This unfiltered and unpasteurized beer is brewed in the Weizen tradition using wheat malt, barley malt and top-fermenting yeast.

The glass reveals the classic Weizen character: distinct notes of banana and clove, supported by subtle malt. The beer is both fresh and creamy, with a light acidity that makes it highly drinkable. A true thirst quencher for warm weather.

Breuwerij Maallust brews on historic ground in Veenhuizen, a former poorhouse colony. The brewery's name refers to the old grain mill where the beer is now made.
