Brouwerij Maallust in Veenhuizen has brewed beer since 2011 on the historic grounds of a former prison. Zware Jongen Tripel is a golden, classic tripel at 8.7% ABV, brewed with barley malt, candi sugar and top-fermenting yeast. This is a solidly hoppy beer with a fine white foam head.

On the palate: sweet and malty with fruity notes and a spicy, floral aroma. The finish is robustly bitter and dry. With its full character, this beer pairs well with goat cheese and lamb. The name refers to the 25 entrepreneurs who founded the brewery and call themselves the 'Heavy Guys'.
