Maallust De Deerne Meibock
De Deerne Meibock from Brouwerij Maallust is a golden spring bock brewed in Veenhuizen by a collective of 25 entrepreneurs known as the 'Zware Jongens' (Heavy Guys). This bottom-fermented beer blends German and Czech hop varieties with a hint of caramel malt, delivering a lightly bitter, floral and spicy profile.
At 7% ABV, De Deerne is a full-bodied, elegant seasonal beer that balances malt character with hop bitterness. Brewed unfiltered and unpasteurised using only quality ingredients and copper kettles, it carries the authentic spirit of Veenhuizen's unique heritage as a former prison village. The result is a distinctive spring offering that reflects the brewery's commitment to craft and tradition.
