De Weldoener is the flagship of Brouwerij Maallust in Veenhuizen, a top-fermented blonde ale drawing inspiration from classic Belgian brewing traditions. At 6.5% ABV, it delivers a smooth, approachable character with pronounced hop bitterness and fruity notes. Brewed unfiltered and unpasteurised, it retains a full, layered flavour profile.

The aroma opens with fresh hop character and floral hints. On the palate, a bittersweet balance emerges, with malt, fruit, and soft bitter notes that finish cleanly and inviting. Extremely drinkable, this beer was crowned Best Beer of the Netherlands in 2022. Brouwerij Maallust was founded in 2011 by 25 entrepreneurs—the 'Zware Jongens'—united in their pursuit of authentic craft brewing.
