Leeghwater Poldervos
Poldervos is an amber winter ale from Brouwerij Leeghwater, based in North Holland. This robust beer draws its character from caramel malts and a strohrum infusion, finished with aging on rum wood chips. The result is a full-bodied, warming ale suited to winter evenings.
The brewery, founded in 2012 by head brewer Hans Konijn, draws inspiration from the history of the Land of Leeghwater—named after Jan Adriaenszoon Leeghwater, who transformed peat meadows into fertile polders in the 17th century. With Poldervos, Brouwerij Leeghwater tells a story of craft and local heritage.
