Brewer's Profile: Brut IPA
AF Brew, a pioneering Russian brewery founded in 2012 in St. Petersburg, presents this Brut IPA from their Brewer's Profile series—a collection of beers brewed to the personal recipes and preferences of the brewery's crew. Pavel B., Sales Manager at AF Brew, crafted this second batch using champagne yeast and dry-hopped with Strata, Sabro, and Citra.
The Brut IPA style draws its name from champagne and delivers a very pale, exceptionally dry, and highly carbonated variant of American IPA. Despite substantial hop additions, actual bitterness is restrained, creating an effervescent, aromatic profile that favours dryness and hop character over traditional IPA bite.
At 7% ABV, this beer showcases the controversial but compelling nature of the Brut IPA style.
