Brouwerij KEES from Middelburg brewed a single 2000-litre batch as the base for this Barrel Project, which yielded five distinct fruity variants. This Imperial Saison matured in white wine casks and reaches a full 12% ABV.

Maturation in wine barrels lends this robust saison a vinous character with dry, fruity notes. The beer marries the spicy, estery qualities of a classic saison with the complexity that barrel aging alone can provide.
