Brouwerij In de Nacht from Weert crafted this IPA with Nelson Sauvin hops, a New Zealand variety prized for its wine-like character. The 2021 edition of Fourmidable emerged from a single base recipe of 2000 litres that was split into five distinct fruity variants – an ambitious brewing experiment.

Nelson Sauvin dry-hopping contributes white grape and subtle fruit notes. Tasters found the beer fuller and maltier than typical for an IPA, which tempers the hop expression somewhat. The result is a balanced rather than assertively hoppy profile.
