Austri Brugghús is a microbrewery in East Iceland, based in Egilsstaðir. Their Skessa is an Imperial IPA at 7.2% ABV, named after an Icelandic landmark in the Austurland region. This beer captures the boldness of a strong IPA with local character.

The aroma reveals floral hop notes and soft bready malt. On the palate, sweetness leads, balanced by resinous hop bitterness, earthy undertones and caramel notes. The finish is clean and dry, with a lingering bitter edge that frames the beer well.
