Augustiner Edelstoff hails from Munich's oldest and last independent brewery, established in 1328. This Dortmunder Export-style lager is brewed according to German purity law using only water, malt, hops and yeast.

The beer presents bright and sparkling, with a crisp character. The palate balances mild sweetness against spicy, earthy hop bitterness. The malt is firm and crusty rather than soft or honeyed, distinguishing it from gentler Helles interpretations.

The finish is clean and dry, with light body and pleasant carbonation. Edelstoff is traditionally served in a special diamond mug and stands as a benchmark example of traditional Bavarian lager.
